Sounds like we have a similar problem. I use the following as a quite acceptible work-around...

(My problem is that Alt+Enter often leaves me with a black FS window and a flickering mouse icon.)

The work-around is to press ALT to bring up the FS9 menu and go into the Display options. Check or un-check the 'Render to Texture' option and save the settings (it doesn't matter which, just change it's current value). Your FS window will now display correctly.

I have no idea what causes this but it's only happened since I changed to an nVidia card.

Might be a video driver issue, of some kind.

Yeah, sorry I meant to say. From my experience I've just accepted the problem as another 'feature' of nVidia, nothing to do with TrackIR.

I have a nvidia card. the Geforce 7800, and I have no problems in that area. How old is your card? It might be that a newer card would be better that has some of the newer technologies.

or just a difference in driver versions. Which can effect so issues with the display settings.
