tracking problem

Hi all,

My TIR3 has been working correctly for 2 years now , and since yesterday, it can't track anymore. On software start-up, the green led lights only 2 seconds and then lights out.
The tracking panel is greyed out. If i click on the seetings button (on this tracking panel), the green led again lights about 1 sec, and it's the same each time I change a tracking setting. But it never lasts more than 1 sec and I don't see anything on the tracking window.

I tried to uninstall, reinstall, with and without unplugging the TIR. I put the newest driver (I had the 4.029 alpha 3 before).
No results.

Can somebody help me ?
Is it posible that the unit has definitely failed, without unknown reason ?

Have you tried the device on another system?

Are you plugging in directly to the system, or are you using a hub?

Have you tried isolating the device on the USB ports?

Have you tried turn off any kind of power save feature for your USB ports?

In the "Device Manager" you can right click the "USB Hub"(s) that show and turn off the power saving feature that turn those ports off when idle. Sometimes that has an impact on the connectivity of the devices.

Thanks a lot for the help.

Now that works. In fact, I don't have a USB hub. But I did the whole uninstall reinstall trick while at the same attempt, plugging it in a different port, and that's OK !!

I think the initial USB port was maybe too low on power ...

Anyway, my heart's lighter now.
