Problem with trackIR4 and FS9
Good evening,
I buyed my trackIR 6 month ago, and from then, I have a problem with using it in flight simulator 9. When i start the fly, everything works well, but after few minutes, the simulator freeze and crash. This does not happend when i do not use the trackIR or when i use it with my computer not connected to Internet (not easy for multiplayer flights ).
Have you ever heard about such problem, and if, can you give me a solution ? Thanks for your help.

Are you running any add-on software with FS9?
Which version of the TrackIR software are you using?
Remove the TrackIR software by doing the following:
a. Click "Start"
b. Click on the "Control Panel"
c. Click "Add/Remove Programs"
d. Find "TrackIR" and click "Change/Remove"
e. Once launched it will give the option to completely remove it.
f. Delete the NaturalPoint folder at the following location, C:\Program Files\NaturalPoint
g. Download and reinstall the software from the following location, http://media.naturalpoint.com/software/ ... .Final.exe

Thank you vincent for your answer, but i alredy had the 4.1.029 version of the software. The problem stay after many reinstall of the system and FS, and even with a no-addon fs.

1 - Check to make sure the TrackIR software has internet permissions on your firewall software.
2 - In the TrackIR software, go to options, nad uncheck the option for "Periodic News Check"
3 - In the following folder - C:\Program Files\NaturalPoint\TrackIR4\Profiles -
Is there a profile file larger than 4k in the folder, if so, delete the file.

Hi Grizzlym,
I had the same problem than you.
But I noticed it happened only at a particuliar place.
I disabled the add-on scenery for this place and it works fine now.
This scenery was a landclass for the french and swiss north alps.
Hope this could help...

Good morning.
Sorry for my silence during the february month, but i wasn't at hom so i couldn't test your solutions.
Last week i updated my PC, changing the motherboard and the cpu. I tried a fly, and after about 1h30 fs crashed with the same way it did before.
My test fly was over the south east of France, so i'll test in an other place to see what happend, but i'm pessimist. I have friends who have the same sceneries and a trackIR, they don't have the same problem. And before the upgrade of my computer, the problem happend everywhere.
So i'll continue my tests and keep you in touch !

I would like to know how can i know if the problem comes from my computer or my trackIR. What sort of tests can i do ? As i said, i recently changed my motherboard and my cpu, but the problem remains. I tried many re-installations of my system, and flew on an original flight simulator (no add ons installed). I'll try to use my trackIR with a friend's computer as soon as i can.
If all the test i did and those i'll do reveals that the problem is due to a malfunction of my trackIR, what are the conditions for exchange it ?

1 - Try on another system
2 - Are you running any firewall software installed on the system?
3 - Do you have any anti-virus software installed?
4 - If it is a hardware failure, then we will have you send us your serial number, then we will go about setting you up with a replacement unit.
