Hello, when i instal the smartnav my computer echo's that my hardware is a problem. When i look at the site i see no hints for my problem.
anyone can help??

On Windows 98 2e edition.
Installed trackIR, runs normally.
When I install smartNAV, after start I get a call "This version of software is not compatible with your hardware. Please run the software that matches your hardware model instead."
I de-installed it many times on the correct way.
Any time I install trackIR it runs normally.
But when I install smartNAV this gives me the same problem.
I have also tryed the 3 procedures in forum Can't Install, same problem.
Have downloaded the latest software, same problem.
What is wrong? Can any one help me?

First of all I have to ask if you bought a TrackIR or a SmartNAV?
From what you describe it sounds very much like you are trying to run the SmartNAV software with a TrackIR unit, which unfortunately is not possible this is why you are being presented with this error "This version of software is not compatible with your hardware. Please run the software that matches your hardware model instead."
It is possible for you to run the TrackIR2 software if you have a SmartNAV, but not the other way around owing to the way they are programmed.
Please contact me with a serial number if you suspect that you have received the wrong unit.

I was wrong, I connected the wrong one to the smartNAV software.
