Re: TrackIR 4 Pro can't work
Digging up this post.
I have the same. The red LED shows very weakly when i plug in the trackir in my USB port. It used to work without any problems, just now it's telling me 'no device detected'!
I plugged the trackIR in my laptop and the red LED comes on like it should.
I also tried rolling back to an earlier date (system restore) where the TrackIR worked, but that didn't work.
I also tried disabling all 'unneeded' usb devices, but the TrackIR won't come 'online' anymore.
I have a Asus A8N SLI Deluxe as mobo.
Thanks in advance!

Please send the following information to support@naturalpoint.com
What is the Serial # of the device?
It should be located on the end of the cable, near the USB plug, or on the underside of the device.
Could you send us a copy of the Setupapi.log file?
It should be located in the C:\Windows folder
Have you tried the device on another system?
Are you plugging in directly to the system, or are you using a hub?
Have you tried isolating the device on the USB ports?
Have you tried turn off any kind of power save feature for your USB ports?
In the "Device Manager" you can right click the "USB Hub"(s) that show and turn off the power saving feature that turn those ports off when idle. Sometimes that has an impact on the connectivity of the devices.
Could you attach a screen shot of your device manager (showing USB), and tracking screen (TrackIR software)?
To make Print Screen work, you must save an image of what's displayed on-screen to the clipboard and then paste it into a document where it can be printed.
Windows Help: Print Screen
To do this, follow this procedure:
1. Maximize the window you'd like to capture.
2. To copy/capture the current window, hold down ALT + Print Scrn at the same time. To capture the entire screen, just press Print Scrn alone.
3. Open a new document in MS Paint, MS Word, MS Photo Editor, or Adobe PhotoShop.
4. Paste the screen shot by holding down CTRL and V at the same time.
5. Save the document as a .JPG or .JPEG file and send it in.

Re: TrackIR 4 Pro can't work
it seems like the power supply somehow isn't enough.
I can see a very faint red LED burning. So, i bought me a external USB2.0 hub with it's own power supply. And now the red LED is much brighter but also on the hub it doesn't get recognized. All other USB stuff works like a charm on it.
I take it it has to be a hardware issue for sure.
I've been in contact with you guys over email and have gotten a RMA. Sadly now my vendor doesn't reply over my email anymore.
Also, the following is listed on the bottom of the installog.txt
Please help
