Vista Ultimate 32-Bit, MS Live OneCare, FSX

Hi there,

I read 2-3 whole topics already about the FSX-Problems.
I have those problems, too - on 2 PC's.
The only difference: I only tried with the demo1 and demo2-version of Flight Simulator X.
But Demos of "GTR2" and "Race" do work.

Can anybody help me here and what information do you need?

P.S.: I already uninstalled Microsoft Windows Live OneCare, shut down the windows firewall and tried it all over again. No result till now.

The demo applications do not have the features enabled that the full version of the software does; i.e. Microsoft took a game that is 16 GB in size, 2 DVDs, and shrunk it to 700 MB for a demo which caused things to be left out. One of the things left out of the demo was the SimConnect features, which allow some third party hardware to work, including the TrackIR unit.

Second: As I am preparing a new PC for my Dad (who has the FSX Gold/ Premium version) I now have to tell him to send me his copy
Third: Microsoft! WHY? Simbin included TrackIR functionality in all their demo-versions.

Fourth: I hope I won't be back after I installed the full-version
