I just got the Dell 24 inch monitor and the depth of it is to large for the TIR connector arms. It is barely hanging on with the front 2.
Is there any other solution other then taping it on?
TrackIR 4 and Dell 24 inch
Re: TrackIR 4 and Dell 24 inch
Which specific model?
If it is to wide to have the legs grap a hold of the top. Can't you just set it on top, like it was a CRT?

Re: TrackIR 4 and Dell 24 inch
Its the Dell 24 inch widescreen monitor, there's only one dell 24 inch.
It could be set on top but it slopes so its not a great solution.
I posted this since bigger monitors are getting cheapers these days and since TIR is such a vital piece of kit it would be great to secure it better, something for tir 5.

I guess I'm a little confused. If you are discussing the following monitor...
UltraSharp 2407WFP Wide-Screen Black Flat Panel
The TrackIR4 mounts just fine on it, as I am using one of those for my test system here.

Ok, then I'm the confused one, for some reason the back leg doesn't seeem to stretch enough but maby I'm doing it wrong.
Any chance you could upload a pic of how it mounts to your monitor? It'd be greatly appreciated.
Same monitor.

The TrackIR can be easily and securely placed onto most standard laptop screens without any additional equipment.
Grasp the plastic base and use your other hand to rotate the TrackIR legs so that the feet face down. Then turn the base so that the front legs are shown as in step 2.
Spread the front feet open to about a 45 degree angle. Bend the back leg down a bit.
Now place the unit on top of your LCD screen as shown below.
