Install Driver Error

I have sent 2 emails and havnt got 1 reply so i am losing my temper here

everytime i try and run i get the error

error 0x80040707

is thier anyway of getting the drivers and making windows vista install the drivers when the usb is plug in so it searches for the drivers instead of install it
becuase i cant seem to get around that area

my computer is
Windows Vista Business
MSI 8800 gts
S/n 059234

You may occasionally come across a Windows error message with the code 0x80040707, and you'll probably find very little documentation on how to handle it. You'll often encounter this error when you're running an installation or upgrade routine from within Windows.



Solution

If you're getting this error message as part of an installation or upgrade routine, here's one of the easiest ways to circumvent the problem:

1. Go to the directory that holds the file for launching the installation (for example, Setup.exe).

2. Right-click on the installation file and select Run As.

3. Uncheck the box that says Protect My Computer and Data from Unauthorized Activity, and click OK.



Alternatively, if you're running this installation from a CD, you may need to simply clean the CD and try the installation again. Another possibility for resolving this error is to run Windows Update on the system before running the installation routine.

i have tryed all that is thier anyway of manuel installing this or maybe redoing how the installer actually installs on people pcs

Nope, no way to manually install.....

Try using the following windows installer cleanup utility

If that dosen't work then download a new version of the windows installer and run it, reboot and try again.

done that aswell still nuthing i vurrently going to reinstall windows vista business again but i think ya guys need to thing of a better installer becuase u should not have these problems

Can't install the software in my computer.
Can't use your device.

What type of system?

Motherboard?

Chipset?

i fix the problem

this is for vista users only!

right click on the install got to properties

then click the compatiblity tab

tick run this program mode for. select windows xp with serivce pack 2.

press accept then ok

double click on install

and it works
