Cursor sinks slowly down the screen
Just taken delivery of a new SmartNav 3, and I'm running it on Windows 2000. If I hold my head absolutely still, the cursor very slowly sinks vertically down to the bottom of the screen. It's not the SmartNav's mounting bracket or joints - they're firm enough. Any ideas?
Re: Cursor sinks slowly down the screen
That is an interesting issue...
Could you please provide the serial # of the unit (located on the bottom)
Have you made any adjustments or are you using the default profile?
If you have, please email me your profile.
It will be a .xml file and should be located in:
C:\Program Files\Naturalpoint\SmartNAV 3.22\Profiles (Or something similiar). My email is kevin@naturalpoint.com
Are you in absolute or relative mode?
Also if you open up the control panel and go to the 'tracking' tab do you see anything other than the dot on that black screen?
Thanks
Kevin

Re: Cursor sinks slowly down the screen
Ah... no need - I've found the problem. The hinge on my laptop, which has, up until now withstood all the forces that man and nature could throw at it, has just collapsed. The immense weight of the SmartNav must have been too much for it.
I should have suspected that earlier. My apologies.
