Jerky head movement in game

Post by rickopp »

I have just installed the TrackClip and the latest released software. I am using TrackIR 3 PRO hardware.

When in the game (Aces High II) the head movement is jerky. Head movement when viewing the TrackIR heads appeard to be smooth. Everything was previously smooth with the hat and vector clip.

I have found that using windows task manager and right clicking on the TrackIR.exe process and setting the priority to high, the problem goes away. Head movement in the game is once again very smooth.

Doing it this way, the priority has to be set each time the PC is re-booted. Is there a way to make the high priority setting permanent?

I have just read the post about the light filtering setting. I am posting this from work and have not checked that setting yet. I will check that tonight but the priority change might be of use to others who still have jerky head movement.

Awesome product! Now I can have the TrackIR Vector advantage without a sweaty head.

Currently there is no way to set it up permanently, but we are looking into allowing that in a future version of the software.

Problem Solved.

When I checked the Light Filtering was set to 253. I reduced it to 100 and everything was smooth again without having to increase the TrackIR.exe priority.

I posted the light filtering answer vis a vis the setting to 100 but my post was removed. Go figure!
