All keys except Hot Keys stop functioning in FSX

When playing FSX in free flight or multiplayer mode, my keyboard will suddenly stop functioning except for the TrackIR hot keys. The joystick buttons continue to work. When I turn-off TrackIR, the keys begin to work again. Otherwise, the product functions perfectly.

I have version 4 build 30.

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

That is something different.....

Any other applications running in the background?

USB keyboard?

Are you using a hub, or plugged directly into system?

Have you tried turn off any kind of power save feature for your USB ports?

In the "Device Manager" you can right click the "USB Hub"(s), that show, and then select properties. On the power management tab, uncheck the box that allows the computer to turn off the USB port to save power (i.e. uncheck the box). Sometimes that has an impact on the connectivity of the devices.

Yes, the key board is USB.

Following your suggestion, I un-checked the save power box. I just flew on FSX for 5 minutues and TrackerIR and the keyboard worked perfectly. Perhaps your solution is the answer. If more problems occur, I will let you know.
