TrackIR 4 Pro has stopped working in FSX

When I start FSX I get the blue & green light going on but
no movement is detected.

I have uninstalled/reinstalled the latest trackir software
however the problem persists.

Also the trackIR works correctly in GTR2.

Any ideas? Is there a setting within FSX that needs to be
reset?

Note: I am also using the track clip pro.

Do you have any firewall/anti-virus software installed?

OK, one step to try�.

1 - Delete the following file folder

C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86_Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect_67c7c14424d61b5b_10.0.60905.0_x-ww_429211e9

2 - Insert the FSX CD, and run the repair utility. Basically we are looking to reinstall the folder.

3 - Hopefully this should remedy the issue.

Since nobody replied til now, I'll do that.

I got the same problem, searched the forum here (since support from Microsoft is only a rumor)
and finally found something useful.

Deleting that folder and running the FSX repair utility worked (at least for me).

Though I wonder what that FSX SDK is changing.
Is there any info on that?

And maybe you should mention that either in the Troubleshooting section or the FAQ.

The sdk should reinstall the simconnect dll file as well as 2 other files related to simconeect.....

At first I found your answer quite confusing.
Then I noticed, that I didn't gave all the infos.

TrackIR stopped working with FSX after I installed the SDK!
That's why I wondered what the SDK changes (especially because uninstalling the SDK made the TrackIR not working with FSX again)...

Guess this was the last time I installed a SDK from MS - at least for a long time.

Well, for the most part it installs the SDK folder. It might also overwrite the simconnect install, which is what the TrackIR software uses to talk to FSX.
