Hotkey Joystick Mapping

Post by Crunch_ »

Hello, Just wondering if it might be possible to map the profile hotkeys to Directx joystick buttons as opposed the keyboard characters. This way you would have an extra option to map to the joystick instead of the keyboard and avoiding game mapping conflicts.

Thanks

You can map the hotkey settings to just about any key. I have the recenter key mapped to the joystick myself.

Thanks Vincent. I'm using a CH Combat Stick and the TrackIR software won't map the hotkeys to the POV hat. It will map to any other key. I noticed this after your post. I'll just have to do some re-mapping with the CH Combat Stick software.

Using CH's excellent Control Manager software I was able to assign a couple of buttons on my stick to Directx joystick buttons. After hitting the Directx Input refresh button in the Trackir software I could then map the center function and disable function to these buttons. I then did this to all my gaming profiles for my CH Software. What's excellent is the Trackir software will map to multiple gaming devices when you have more than 1 installed. I have 5! Good job on including this function Natural Point. Thanks for the great support.
