TrackIR 4 not connecting to FSX

I have loaded as your list and rebooted but I still have the same problem. I checked out the FSX profile in Tracking, Heads and Gauges and it all works fine until I load FSX. No blue light, but VC works with Space Bar and Mouse. I noticed that the programme hangs if I shut it with the USB connection in. If I remove it before shutdown it closes O.K.

The hanging issue we hope to resolve in a future software update.

Have you tried installing SP1 for FSX?

I have just loaded SP1 and rebooted but still have the same problem. I noticed that the indicator light on top of the TrackIR unit changes colour when I press F9. I have tried starting TrackIR before FSX and after but no difference. Still runs O.K. with F4 Allied Force.

It is still not working. Any thoughts, anything very basic I may have missed, any more checks. Any logs or files that may help you to spot the problem. I will run the repair option on FSX this weekend. It was a fresh load only three weeks ago so should be O.K. Any fixes or files to try?

I have been reading other posts on this subject and I have solved my problem.
I uninstalled TrackIR and removed the default folder, then deleted the two C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86_Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect folders. Then I ran Registry Mechanic and rebooted. Next I ran FSX repair and reinstalled SP1 FSX, rebooted, then reinstalled TrackIR, rebooted and it works O.K.
