2 Camera's and 3d data

Post by CDtech07 »

Has anyone written any code that allows you to get 3d data using only two cameras or has that been established as impossible?

Hello:

Our software will only support 3 or more cameras to derive a 3D data point, part of our whole calibration structure, but you could design your own software from our free baseline SDK that would allow you to triangulate two 2D points to find the 3D point. So, yes you should be able to work with 2 cameras to get 3D points out of our cameras / SDK, just some work to make that happen.

(edit, birch : clarify 3 camera number is just a minimum)
