Dear,
When we buy full equipment for 4 cameras last year (IR filter lens type) they included 4 lens non-IR on package.
We try to change one lens on camera and nothing happens, they look similar and the optical reaction is equal with any lens, the lens look different at front light one is dark and othe shine but the camera response is the same.
We change to the old lens and the camera work ok again.
Why they don't change images..we asume with the non-IR lens we can view like any Ccd camera on Black and White but the camera work similar with or without IR or nonIR Lens.
May be we need change anything like jumper or software?
Best Regards,
Kowaltski

Re: Change Lens
Hello:
If you have a lens that has the mirror like coating on the back side, that is the one with the built in IR filter. The one you can see through doesn't.
Yes, you are correct, with the non-IR filter lens, it will work just like a CCD camera. The reason you are still seeing a lot of light come through is that the sensor is very sensitive to IR light, so you may just have too much ambient IR light in the scene you are trying to view.
