Hi,
I have had SmartNAV EP for about 3 weeks.
Each weekend I lock my PC, when I get in on Monday Windows has crashed and I have a blue screen.
The error is PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
there is no other error information, the screen just says to get in contact with the supplier of any new hardware or drivers that were installed and ask for an undate.
SmartNAV is the only thing I have installed recently.
I am on XP SP1
SmartNAV 3.2 Build 23
Serial: 32930
When I reboot Windows following the error SmartNAV doesn't work,
it says that it can't find the SmartNAV device.
I have to exit the software,
unplug the device from the USB port,
plug it back in
and restart the software to get it working again.
Has this been reported before?
Is there an update available?
Thanks, Vin

Re: Catatrophic failure
Hello,
Please let me know the serial # (located on the bottom of the SmartNAV) and your current version of SmartNAV software.
Please make sure you are running the latest version of software (3.20.023). I have not heard of this behavior being reported before.
Once I know your serial # and software version we can proceed with further troubleshooting.

Re: Catatrophic failure
Hi Vin,
I will be contacting our developers about this when they are available.
In the mean time I would suggest unplugging the SmartNAV unit before you leave for the weekend. Please let me know if you still get the error message on Monday if you unplug the SmartNAV on friday.
Thanks
Kevin
