Hi,
First I just want to say that I received TrackIR yesterday and I love it already.
I do have a small problem... when I plug the TrackIR + Clip into a USB port on my PC I get the following message:
"hi-speed device attached to non hi-speed hub".
As far as I know, ALL of the USB ports on my motherboard are 2.0
(EVGA 122-CK-NF68-A1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard)
I did try all of the ports, all give me the same message.
The ONLY way to avoid getting the message is to plug TrackIR + Clip into a USB on my monitor (Dell 2007WFP) which is still going to the same place anyway so I don't get why it works this way.
I did try plugging TrackIR into the same port that the monitor was originally going to and got the message. Like I said, I tried all of the ports.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
btw, TrackClip is plugged into TrackIR via the Power Tap.
TrackClip Pro into USB 2.0 = not hi-speed??
Re: TrackClip Pro into USB 2.0 = not hi-speed??
Generally, it just comes down to a setting, in the system bios that just isn't seeing the device properly. It will work fine, otherwise.
Re: TrackClip Pro into USB 2.0 = not hi-speed??
Thanks for taking a moment to reply, Vincent.
I double checked my BIOS settings and it is set to "v1.1 + v2.0" so that's set properly.
Also, I do have the latest BIOS version.
My chipset drivers are up to date as well.
I've tried having Vista check that my USB drivers are up to date and it says that they are.
This really has me scratching my head.
Much appreciated.

I get the same warning in Vista32 and Vista64. It doesn't do anything, so I don't really worry about it vOv

I get that a LOT with XP. Don't know why, my mobo's configured correctly and all my hubs claim to be USB 2.0.
I've just come to accept that some things in life aren't meant to be.

Re: TrackClip Pro into USB 2.0 = not hi-speed??
It's just an issue in the way the chipset reports the TrackIR incorrectly.
It works just fine on a 1.1 or a 2.0 USB port.

True enough. My TrackIR does work just fine.
