Hello,
What is the serial # of your SmartNAV unit and current version of software you are running?
What program is it that is staying on top of the dwell clicking toolbar?
Please email me kevin@naturalpoint.com with this information and we can troubleshoot further.
Our dwell clicking application will stay on top of all desktop windows that conform to the standards set by microsoft. If the program does not conform to these standards then the dwell clicker is not always notified to stay on top.
Without knowing more all I can suggest is to try increasing the size of the dwell toolbar and moving it to a part of the screen that is not covered.
Please let me know how you get on.
Thanks
Kevin

Dwell Clicking Window On TOp
Dwell Clicking Window On TOp
Hi,
I am an SLP working with a client using SmartNav AT. The Dwell Clicking program window lays under other applications, and when he needs to reach it (to turn clicking back "on") he cannot because he can't click, and now can't reach the window. Any suggestions ?

Re: Dwell Clicking Window On TOp
Hello Kevin,
I get this problem too. I'm still trying to figure it out a little more before contacting you about it specifically. I can access dwellclicker again though by moving the pointer to where the dwellclicker on off switch should be onscreen, it clicks on and appears in the foreground again.
It seems to happen when I leave the computer for a while. So I'm not sure whether it's triggered by the screensaver or power management switching the monitor off. I have changed settings to test that now.
If either of you have a fix for this please tell me via a post here or e-mail.
Here are the details of my machine...
SmartNav3, S/No = 26919
SmartNav3 driver version =3.20.023
Windows XP SP 2, Pentium 4, 512MB of RAM
Cheers, Sean

Re: Dwell Clicking Window On TOp
Hello Kevin,
I have tested the problem with the dwellclicker toolbar not staying in the foreground.
It only seems to happen when a screensaver activates on the computer. When I come back to the computer the SmartNav unit detects the dot on my forehead, the mouse movement takes the computer out of screensaver mode and back to the original window that was in the foreground when I left the computer. The problem is that the dwellclicker toolbar is now in the background. His happens for all programs.
This behaviour only happens when a screensaver is activated. Therefore to prevent it from happening set screensaver to "none" in Control Panel/Display/screensaver.
Can you look further at this problem to get a more permanent solution?
Cheers, Sean
