That Doggone Window
Just got my Track IR up and running. I have a big window right behind me. Track IR works great until the sun comes up and then it wants to track the window. Looks like new window blinds are in order for the room. Have others been successful with regular, light-blocking shades? Any other suggestions.

You can also increase the light filtering, in the Tracking window.
TrackIR software -> View -> Tracking -> Settings -> Light filtering.

Thanks,
However, the light filtering will not remove this even when set full on, Neither will it filter out the overhead light behind. I have to fly in almost darkness.

It depends on the type of light, if it is generating heat, then it can throw the TrackIR unit of, as it will see it as a tracking point as well.

Actually, if was solved simply with a $4 room darkening shade from Lowe's to cover the window. At night, I leave the room dark to eliminate interference from the overhead light. I got a small, battery-powered, LED light that fits above the keyboard and under a shelf which illuminates the keyboard enough to see the keys. Next step - a small light to illuminate charts so I can fly VFR during simulated day while its really night.
