TrackIR 3 Pro works in FSX but not CFS3

I'm using Vista Business, CFS 3.1A, Track IR 3 Pro with Vector expansion with version 4.1 build 30. I have dual monitors (one 22" wide screen DVI and one 17" VGA LCDs with ATI Raedon X1300 256MB but I am running a single monitor profile when flying.

Track IR works fine in FSX, but does not recognize the game CFS3 - the camera is tracking, can edit profies, etc., but "Current Game: None" when CFS is running and no head tracking at all in the game.

In fact, I can't even pan with the POV on the joystick - in virtual cockpit it just glances left or right or whatever, but no smooth panning. What am I missing?

Currently we are seeing an issue with CFS3, Windows Vista, and the TrackIR software. It appears that the TrackIR software is not detecting the CFS3 software when using the Windows Vista OS, so there is no 5DOF movement. We hope to have it resolved shortly.

I looked at tons of posts in here and tried everything and then some. I am also running Set Point, but tried running TIR & CFS3 as administrator, compatability mode, No DEP, Ending process on Set Point, adjusting Set Point Settings for Gaming... on and on and on - no joy - and I mean that literally.

Vista has been a real bane to my existence since I got it in March. Looking forward to a solution - thanks again!

I'm having the same problem but in XP. Unit works fine in other MS flight sims (FS9 and X)

We have also seen an application like Trend Micro : Virus Buster 2007 causing CFS3 to no longer work on the system, try disabling the software, or uninstalling.

Also, see if you are running the following software applications, as they have been known to cause issues as well.

You are spot on. I do have Logitech Set Point Software and closing the quick launch app cleared up the problem.
