install problem on vista

Hi
Tried to install lasest software 4.1.030.Final.B.zip on my pc which is running vista home premiumI have 4.1.025 which I have activated vector expansion.
Problems start after I have downloaded the file,I try to install it and can't.A message comes up which is as follows,

Windows cannot open the folder
The compressed (zipped)Folder 'C\TrackIR\TrackIR_4.1.030.Final.B zip' is invalid.

I have installed Track IR into a seperate folder C:\Track IR.
Getting really frustrated about going round and round in circles trying to install this software as I understand that you need it to run Track IR on the Vista format.
Can someone please give me a start to finish set of instructions on the install through to the upgrade of the software to get this sorted out,where to put it etc.I am dying to get back to Il-2 1946 and this is holding me up.

What is the file size of the software you downloaded?

Hi,
124 KB,not too sure what this is.I have tried to open the program again.When I try the screen of the computer starts going crazy,the task bar goes stupid and everything locks up.Eventually after a few seconds a message comes up as follows,
Internet Explorer has stopped working.
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.Windows will close the program and notify if a solution is available.

My question ,is vista stopping the program or blocking it maybe.
I have run and used this program before,so I can't work out why I am having trouble with it now ,admittidly it was in C:\ program...(default)but this should'nt matter should it?
I've tried reinstalling from scratch and removing in add and remove programs all to no avail.

Well, the file size should be

(.zip 3.77 MB)
(.exe 3.87 MB)

So it looks like there was some corruption when the file was downloaded, please download the latest version of the software again, then try installing.

Hi
Still the same thing,download the file ok ,saved it to C:|users\chris\downloads this time.When I clicked open everything went nuts again,same message.
Do I have to disable something in vista to let the program in maybe,is there a firewall stopping the download?

Thanks for the help so far,I'm sure it must be something obvious that I've missed,maybe you could give me an example of how you would download the program from scratch,
