Trackir does not load "current game"

Hi. I have just got TrackerIR 4 with TrackClip pro. It tests fine with the heads, tracking, and gauges - but it will not work in FSX.
Status says Tracking.
Tracking says Vector,
Device info says TrackIR Pro with some numbers after it.
Current game says None.
Current Profile says Flight.
It also displays Vector Expansion Active.
I am using XPPro, 4 gigs of RAM, and a 3.4 dual pentium.
I start Trackir before I start FSX
I loaded software before I pluged in TrackIR hardware. Have rebooted many times over the last few days and removed hardware as per troubleshooting advice.

Do you have any firewall/antivirus software installed?

Do you have any add-on software installed for FSX?

OK, one step to try�.

1 - Delete the following file folder

C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86_Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect_67c7c14424d61b5b_10.0.60905.0_x-ww_429211e9

2 - Insert the FSX CD, and run the repair utility. Basically we are looking to reinstall the folder.

3 - Hopefully this should remedy the issue.

Did all of the things you mentioned - no go.

Reinstalled TrackIR software - works.

As I ran the FSX repair will I need to run FSX SP1 again?

Same problem here. Did all the things i could find in the forum and above. Status tracking, Tracking says vector. current game: nonen, current profile flight.

Uninstalled FSX, SDK
Delete the specific Simconnect directories in C:\windows\winSxX
Delete the Simconnect.xml
Reinstalled FSX and FSP, the SDK and the servicepack
Reinstalled TrackIR 2x now
Disable firewall

Everything works in the configuration but not in FSX. I only see a green led burning. The blue led shows only up when i'm out of the TrackIR config/driver. I think this has something to do with Vista, Framework 2.0 or Simconnect. Or this thing just broke. I'm about to return this thing because it costs me a lot of money. How can i at least find out if it's working in a game?

And i tried the Ship Simulator. This time TrackIR recognizes the game and the blue led was comming up. I thought i made it so far and after i configure the settings i was using the TrackIR of Natural Point... and..

Nothing:( Tommorow i will test it on a WinXP machine. Man, it's a never ending story!

Hi Michiel

Knowing Vista I reckon that might be your trouble.
Are you using the latest drivers for TrackIR?
Do you have any FSX addons installed?
When you reinstall The software you should stop any anti virus software from loading from a reboot. You can run the msconfig utility and uncheck the relevent boxes in Services and Startup.
You then need to reboot your machine - it will bring up a couple of screens with warnings about your startup not being correct. Cancel these. Reinstall TrackIR software - then plug in your TrackIR hardware. Get it all working properly and then go back into msconfig and re-enable all the Services & Srartup files.

I did all of this action you suggest but unfurtunally it didn't work. Even a complete reinstall of FSX (without addons!) didnt solve the problem (and yes with deleting those "WinSys" maps). So, it has to be something in Vista (Ultimate). I test this thing at a friend computer to see if this thing isn't broken but it did work.

This morning i decide to reinstall Vista Ultimate + FSX and it works!

I blame them for not providing enough debug information to findout what the problem is because im a little afraid to install applications (like Microsoft Visual Studio and .NET framework) and suddenly my TrackIR didn't work.

I still want to know what causing this problem.

If you are "nervous" about installing other appliucations, you can always preform a system backup before installing any new software.
