Odd problem

Post by Tepic »

I have been getting gittery performance using Track IR 4 Pro. The movement will freeze a second and then start up again.

I was pulling my hair out for ages until I realised it was the IR led reflecting off my glasses!

I can't think of a solution to this one :)

Try adjusting the light filtering

TrackIR software -> View -> Tracking -> Settings, once there try increasing the light filtering slider (use the check box if it isn't enabled yet)

Also try adjusting the camera angle, get it pointing down a little bit more

I went there and mine was not checked so I checked it and left it at 132 which must be default. What does this filtering actually do?I did not notice any appreciable difference in the way TrackIR performed or looked. Thanks,Ron

Light Filtering
Use this Checkbox to enable or disable the slider bar which controls the Light Filtering.

This slider bar is used to control the light filtering of the TrackIR camera. A higher setting will result in more light being filtered. If used in areas where there are strong lights shining, the slider may need to be set to a higher value to filter out the reflections caused by these lights. When used inside, a value of 130 should produce good results (or just un-check the Light Filtering checkbox). Increasing this setting above 200 may reduce the precision of your TrackIR device.
