replacement IR filter available?

Can you ship a replacement IR filter for the SmartNav3 unit?

If not, what minimum wavelength does the filter need to pass?

Exposed and developed camera film acts as a crude and cheap IR filter for 700nm and above. Perhaps I could fashion a replacement filter out some of this.

What happened to the original IR filter???
