Do you need vector expansion

Hi my very first post.

I already have trackir 3 pro with no vector expansion as the game i mostly play does not support it. IL-2.

My girlfriend has just bought me the trackClip pro and when i go software to set the profile (latest version) i cant find the motion tab to click the trackClip pro so it wont work.

My question is do i need to have the vector expansion to use this clip?

Yes, the vector expansion is required for the TrackClip Pro, as it enables the 3-point tracking(6DOF) capabilities of the TrackIR 3.

Looks like i need to spend more money now.

Without the 6dof is this clip usless?

I am very surprised it is not sold with the software to use it and i am a little dissapointed that i have to spend more money.

Yes, with all three LEDs being on, the software gets confused on which one to use for tracking, without 6DOF support.

Part of the reason that the TrackClip Pro does come with vector expansion is because it would be useless with the TrackIR4 units we have been selling since 2005 (which has built-in Vector expansion)

Is there anyway i can purchace just the software because i have the clip now. I do not need the hat clip and dont have a hat.
