Hey guys,
I just got a TrackIR 4 this morning. Unfortunately I've spent most the day trying to install it. Nothing seems to get device manager to install it. I've install & uninstalled the drivers 10times. Removed the unknown device from device manager, rebooted, re-install, in many orders. nothing. It remains a 'unknown device'.
Tried lots of USB ports. lastest TrackIR_4.1.030.Final.B.exe driver. All the same results.
The Blue light flashes & the software installs. TrackIR Software reports no device detected.
I'm on Vista32.
E6850@3.8Ghz, 4GB ram, NV8800GTX

To follow up somemore. I've just dragged out a old WindowsXp system & installed the TrackIR on it. It worked flawlessly first time. At least i know the hardware is functioning.
Now back to Vista, which of course still won't install the USB drivers for love or money. Any of you guys have any ideas?? It looks like theres serious problems with ur vista drivers.

Don't waste any time on me, I've fixed it 
running NPRegFix.exe did the trick.
