FS2004 vitual cockpit freezes up

Post by rialcorrales »

Hi there,

I just bought TrackIR 4 Pro to use it with my FS2004. While in virtual cockpit the simulation stars as normal. I move my head around and everything is cool. Then suddenly the view freezes up for couple seconds while the simulation continues. It's like keeping your head pointing somewhere, not being able to look forward any more. After couple second everything goes to normal, being able to look around as normal... then freezes up again and so on. This situation is not allowing me to fly properly (imagine during landing you look down the instruments and then you cannot look forward back for seconds while you keep descending to the runaway)

Can anyone help me with this issue (Vincent, please?)

Looking at the tracking screen, what do you see?

What OS is installed?

Do you have any firewall/antivirus software installed?

Any 3rd part add-on apps for FS9 installed?

Hi Vincent,

In regards to your questions:

- At the tracking screen everything looks good. The three green dots are clearly visibles.

- I do have some add-ons application, such as FS passenger and airport viewer. I also have one to create sceneries.

- I don't know what you mean with OS... Could you explain please.

One thing I forgot to mention was that I also have FSX installed and the tracking works perfectly ok on this one. Looks like it is something related to FS9, so I don't think firewalls or antivirus are the cause, because they will affect both software...I guess.

OS, as in operating systems (xp, vista, ect.)

Of the add-ons, anything that has a head latency setting within it?

Ok... I have XP installed.
On add-ons, as far as I know no head latency.. Is there way to check for that setting?

Hi Vincent,
I tried to check the settings for the add-ons I mentioned before but couldn't see anything in regards to head latency.. any ways, I tried to play after that and there was an error that showed up after landing... and after having a lot of difficulties with Track IR. The error was something with the application Trackir.exe, module cameradll.dll.... hope this can give you a light about the issue.
