Hi,
I have had my TrackIR for a little while now, and it has been brilliant until the last month. I have been using it with MS Flight Sim X, and the head tracking jumps all over the place.
Also some days the OS cannot detect the device and I have to reinstall it.
I really enjoy using this device, and I think it would be hard to use any other software such as IL2 or Lock-On without it.
Please can anyone offer any help as I couldn't bear binning this device.
I have
windows Vista 64
AMD 4800 Dual Core
2GB RAM
Xtreme Gamer Sound
7950GT 512mb Video
I have the "Version 4.1.030 - Final B drivers" installed and my system drivers are also upto date.
Regards
Andy

Re: TrackIR jumping arround
Have you tried the device on another system?
Are you plugging in directly to the system, or are you using a hub?
Have you tried isolating the device on the USB ports?
Have you tried turn off any kind of power save feature for your USB ports?
In the "Device Manager" you can right click the "USB Root Hub"(s), that show, and then select properties. On the power management tab, uncheck the box that allows the computer to turn off the USB port to save power (i.e. uncheck the box). Sometimes that has an impact on the connectivity of the devices.
Looking at the tracking screen, View -> Tracking, do you seen 3 green dots, any red ones?
