ok, I have the same problem, hopefully explained in more detail:
I'm running LOMAC v1.12b Gold Euro, with Track IR 4 VS. Before the update to 1.12b it was working fine, however with the update any attempt to start a mission or enter the options screen results in the windows error sound, and Track IR stops working with a unhandled error. I have tried the last 3 versions of the T-IR software, and tried the "delete Track IR ini file from the Input and Config folders" fix in every way I could think of without success.
You can tell its happened as you hear the "ding" sound. The blue light on the device goes off/on strangly so it knows the game should be fine. When you exit lomac you are shown the error screen and have to use the task manager to close Track IR as it totally locks it up.

What is the file size of the patch you downloaded?

Has there been any update on this problem? It seems I'm stuck with a �100 paperweight until its fixed as I brought it for use with this game 
I have a friend with it, he is running the latest version of the game with the latest IR drivers on XP with no problems, apart from an issues with the forward/back which is apparently a bit suspect.

What version of Windows are you running?

Windows XP Pro (OEM) Service pack 2, all of the latest updates.
It was fine before the patch to 1.12b, so its something to do with that I would assume.

It was working ok on FSX, however this weekend I have done a full format/reinstall and need to apply the 1.12 patch to LockOn.
I've tried it with the latest TrackIR drivers/software on Flaming Cliffs V1 and its working ok, so we will see if its the latest lockon patch and my hardware config thats causing the problem!
