no driver found

Post by horrido »

I have been trying to use my old track IR unit with FSX on windows Vista, but the device is not working: windows try to find a driver with windows update, and finds (naturally enough) none. When I try to direct it to look for the driver in the Natural Point folder on my hard drive, the driver cannot be found either.
I had installed the latest Track-IR sowftware first (TrackIR_4.1.034.Final.exe), before plugin the unit in the USB port

my trackIR device is the following one: serial 00xxxx GX

Is it too old to be supported by the latest drivers?

Thanks for any help you could provide.

The TrackIR-1 / TrackIR-2 cameras may be used with the software that is provided for them in the download section of the NaturalPoint website, this software is designed specifically for those products.

http://media.naturalpoint.com/software/ ... R_3_13.exe

FS X required special development work to support the TrackIR, since the TrackIR 3.13 software is no longer under active development this means that FS X support will not be available in the TrackIR 3.13 software.

I bought a trackir from ebay. The seller said that it was the original trackir made by naturalpoints. It did not come with a CD. I installed the software, and it does not work. What should I do to make it working. I use FSX with a windows XP 32 bits.

Thanks

Is there any chance for my TrackIR1 to work on Vista 64? I am considering an OS upgrade later.

Thanks in advance!!

Vista 64 - requires driver signing, by default, and the older software/hardware are just no longer being updated.

You may want to contact support@naturalpoint.com with your TrackIR serial number to see if your product qualifies for any upgrade discounts.
