capture animtion in 25 FPS

Post by haim96 »

hi every one!

i work with the latest version of ARENA software,
and i want to capture animation in 25 FPS, i don't want to
change the camera FPS because i think that the data will be less
accurate.
if try to export the data in 25 FPS (after capturing in 100 FPS)
the speed of the animation changed.

my main problam is to import BVH to POSER,it alow only 99 FPS
and it's create to much frames.

thanks!

Hello,

I'm unable to reproduce the problem with Poser 7, 25 FPS BVH plays at correct speed if Poser's keyframe rate is also set to 25.

As a workaround you can also open the BVH file in text editor and modify the "Frame Time" value in MOTION section to change the animation speed. It is the time elapsed between each frames in seconds, 0.01 is 100FPS, 0.04 is 25FPS.

problam is that the BVH is not 25FPS it's 100 so in poser i need
to change FPS to 99 before importing the BVH, then i have to much
key frames.

i don't know how to produce 25 FPS BVH from ARENA without changing the animation speed.

When running the export option, for the bvh file format, you can change the export options to 25 FPS from 100.

You will always want to capture at 100 FPS, it is much more accurate and the tracking quality is much higher. You want to downsample only when exporting.
