Defining and streaming your own skeleton.

Post by oshri »

Hi
We are evaluating the optitrak system at this time.

At the moment we cannot define our own skeleton structures and stream those. Also there is no streaming of skeletal structures in te SDK, (only markers and rigid bodies)...and were limited in skeleton creation to the given (default) supplied skeleton. is there an option (or planned development) to enable users defining their own skeleton structures and streaming those?

Thanks
Oshri

Hello:

You can assign more markers to the default skeleton if you wish to, but you can't create your own skeletons, or import them at this time.

Yes, we are working on this feature, and other customers have requested it. We do expect to support this in the future, but we don't have a specific release date yet.

I will let someone else answer the question about streaming of the skeletal structures.

Can you clarify which SDK you are referring to? Is it the Point Cloud/Rigid Body SDKs or the NatNet SDK?

Streaming of Skeleton bones as Rigid Bodies was added in the latest release of Arena (1.2.034), it might be what you are looking for.

Hi There
I think it is , we will test , and I will update. We also are looking at doing own marker settings, I dont see any issues with that , but not sure yet (using 47 markers for full body)

cheers
