Anyone in the Chicago area willing to help?
Re: Anyone in the Chicago area willing to help?
Can you send us your data file from the Calibration? We could take a look at it and offer suggestions. Even a video of you doing a calibration might not be a bad idea.
Re: Anyone in the Chicago area willing to help?
We seem to have had a breakthrough.
We were consistently getting poor on one of our cameras, so we tried swapping it with one that was getting goods, to see if it was a hardware issue or had more to do with the position of the camera.
After swapping the cameras we got excellents across the board!
I have no clue why this would be the case, but swapping two cameras brought up our average camera calibration from goods fairs and poors to excellents. No idea. We'll do more calibrations and see if we can figure out if there was some other factor, cause I hate it when problems disappear without a clear logical reason. I always fear the problem will return if I don't understand what made it go away in the first place.

I agree, always good to know the source of the problem. One issue could be the sync cable connections, it could have been connected incorrectly, or just not quite plugged in all the way, but now it is working well, so you have a new benchmark. Good to know your wanding technique is right on!
