I did my first successful mocap last weekend with the 8 camera system!
Now, upon opening a take with MotionBuilder, I realize I reversed the axis during the capture. I set the L-frame rotated 180 degrees (horizontal)!
In other words, my biped is facing the wrong way, when it comes time to create an actor. You should see how MotionBuilder flips out when the left arm of the optical data moves the right arm of the actor!
My question is, there any way, using ARENA, that I can retroactively go back and reset the plane? Using the saved calibration data?
And if not, perhaps this would be a good feature to add!
reversed axis during mocap...fixable?
Re: reversed axis during mocap...fixable?
Hello:
Hmm, maybe you can change the Ground Plane only in the Calibration Wizard (which you can do) and load the PT2 data with that modified calibration file and then retrajectorize the data?
I would think that MB would have a way to fix this, but I am not an expert with that software.
Congratulations on your capture!

You should be able to rotate the MB actor/skeleton 180 degrees, and then reassign the Arena markers onto the actor
