Can I fill gaps at the start of the animation somehow?

Post by Jyri »

There happens to be a big gap at the start of my animation/take and I wonder if there is a way to fill it somehow? Gap is on the hand bone/trajectory and there is no recorded data at the beginning.
The basic Fill gaps tool doesn't seem to work.

Thanks!

Are you starting each take, from a t-pose?

This can help, as it sounds like the skeleton is having a hard time alligning to the markers, at the beginning of the take.

It isn't possible to fill gaps at the start of a take right now, but we understand how it might be useful. We will review this for future development.

That would be a great feature. I too, had to learn the hard way that all takes must start from a T-pose!

Given big gaps at the beginning, the only other option I can think of is to edit out the first second or two of the take...this is after all other cleaning has been done and the take has been rendered and finished.
