Delay and lagg in headmovement

Post by deltaleader »

So I just got my track IR 4 and track clip pro. Installed and it seems to be working in FSX-Acceleration. However, I noticed a problem (latest software is installed) with a delay or what I would call a lag in my head movement as compared to what I see on the screen. But this only starts happening after I flying around for a while. When I initially start the sim, the head movement is crisp and very responsive like I expect. Then it degrades usually with in 5-10 mins of use to the point I have to use extreme head movement to get a result on the screen. It becomes sluggish and delayed. anyone seen or heard of this?

I tried using the default profiles for flight but they were all wrong. I created a FSX profile that works for a short time. then the above mentioned happens. any help would be great. thanks.

What OS are you running?

Are you plugging in directly to the system, or are you using a hub?

Have you tried turn off any kind of power save feature for your USB ports?

In the "Device Manager" you can right click the "USB Root Hub"(s), that show, and then select properties. On the power management tab, uncheck the box that allows the computer to turn off the USB port to save power (i.e. uncheck the box). Sometimes that has an impact on the connectivity of the devices.

Are you running any Anti-virus/Firewall software?

Do you have SP2 installed for FSX?

In the following folder location, C:\Program Files\NaturalPoint\TrackIR4\Profiles, what is the file size for each profile?

Using Vista 32 bit
Plugged directly in to the back of the PC- so no usb hub

I will check the DM when I get home...it is at what ever default is. I know I dont have any power savings set for usb.

yes, running av no firewall software.

SP2 is included in acceleration

I will check the profile sizes later too...

ok. No power savings stuff is turned on with my USB root hub. Also the profile sizes are all 4k each.

I think I figured it out based on another thread...my hotkeys were bound to other keys in fsx. I think precision was getting enabled and bogging me down. Just tested it after changing hotkeys. Seems to be working now!
