The INF is invalid ?

Post by Menessis »

WTH "a service installation section in the INF is invalid"

That's the error message I get when I try to load the driver for my TIR3! I used the ver-4.1 build 28 software. What has gone wrong?

What version of Windows are you using?

Have you tried with the latest version of the software, 4.1.035?

Hi Vincent.

I'm using XPpro and yes I tried the newest software also with the same problem.
Also tried:
1) a diffent usb port
2) unplugging everything else USB
3) total clean install after rebooting
4) different versions of software
5) pointing the driver installer to the driver

Now I'm asking for the next idea :)

Can you try the device on another system?

Hi Vincent. Well I guess I could but not easily. I don't have another system here.

I googled the error and came up with 100k plus hits. All to do with USB devices not wanting to connect. The fix seems to be very specific to the device though.
