Re: New Track IR Pro User

Hello
After seeing videos and checking out this site as well as avsim and flightsim.com, I bought a Track IR Pro.
I've just received my Track IR and would like to ask a few questions before I install/use it. I got the headset attachement to go with using a soundblaster headset.

I use Win Vista Home Basic 64bit os with 4 gigs OCZ ReaperX dual channel 1000mhz memory, a Q6600 cpu and BFG 8800 GTS 512mb Oc.My system is only used for FSX and is configured with two Seagate Barrracuda 7200 rpm 500gb harddrives in a RAID 1 setup (os one one drive, FSX on the other).
I have shut down all un-needed windows services to get the most peformance from FSX.

My questions are these....
Use the software on the install disk or get the current version from Natural Point web site?

Should the top of my monitor (Hanns 28" showing 1900x1200 res in full screen) be at eye level or does height really matter all that much?

Are there any dire faults I should expect upon install?

Once I do have it installed and running, it's nice to know that I will be able to come into the forums and see and learn from others that have this product.

Sorry to come across like a complete novice, but have never used this type of product before.

I usually recommend downloading, and installing, the latest version from our website.

Ideally you wany the IR points to be about even with the camera, but a little higher, or lower, is fine.

No known faults, to be concewrned with.
