Natrual Point w/kids games

Post by MTC »

My daughter uses a SmartNav 3 to play kids games and perform activities for school. Some of the programs do not work with the SmartNav. When the program loads, the pointer stops working although I can use the mouse to operate the games and her tracking light is still on.

She has a severe form of Muscular Dystrophy and also relies on an on screen keyboard. Some programs require the use of the arrow keys, but these keys don't work reliably with all applications.

Any ideas on either topic?

Can you name some of the gaming applications that are having issues?

One that doesn't work at all is "My Horse & Me". It is distributed by ATARI.

Thanks!

Hmmm, I got this game in, and it does allow the SmartNAV to control the mouse, but the game itself limits you to controling the movement of the horse to the arrow keys.

Other games using Quicktime don't alway work either. Reader Rabit 2nd grade is another example. This one should work with the mouse, but doesn't. Reader Rabit 1st grade works great, and the only difference I see is that one uses Quicktime and the other doesn't. thanks again!
