Touble with FSX

Hi there.

I have a problem with my Track IR3 and FSX pro. I have the red and green lights come on but the profile does not activate when the flight starts(no blue light). It is working perfectly with FS9 and IL2-PF-AEP and has done for many years, and still is. I have XP pro installed with all updates. I have tried reinstalling the latest Track ir software after installing FSX pro and it still doesnt work. I have completely uninstalled both Track ir and FSX and cleaned the registry and restarted the system and after reinstalling both, still no luck. I have seen other posts regarding this problem but can not find a solution. Incidentaly for fault finding the instalation is just the default FSX with no service packs/updates or addons.

Any ideas please?

OK,

1 - Download and install the latest version of the TrackIRT software

2 - Download and install SP1, and SP2 for FSX

Thanks for the quick reply. Done that. Still doesnt work. It has worked before but not any longer in FSX. I had uninstalled FSX before the service packs came out as I was very disapointed with it. Could this be part of the problem?

So, you are running XP Pro

4.1.035 version of the software installed

AS well as FSX, with SP1 and SP2 installed?

Hi Vincent.

That is correct. I also have FS2004 installed wich the track ir works fine with only one addon installed wich is Aerosim classic liners vol. 2 if that helps.

Dont worry about it for now. I have just tried to uninstall FSX and start again. It has come up with a load of errors so I think it is more microsofts problem than yours. It says to contact them. I think FSX sucks as have had no problems at all with the Track ir or FS2004 for years, they have both run faultlesly. Since installing FSX I have had nothing but trouble. I will get in touch should I require any further help but in the meantime thank you for your assistance and if I discover anything that may be of assistance I will let you know.

Just to let you know I had no luck with Microsoft.(Surprise surprise) I decided to do a clean install of XP and updates and everything from scratch and the track IR now works. A bit extreme but I got the result. Anyway must fly! Thanks for your help. 10 out of 10 for customer support and a great product. how refreshing.
