Using Track IR with large projection screen

I would like to enquire how to setup Track IR when using a projection screen to display my FS9 cockpit.

Can I put the sensor above the top of the screen and slightly slant it towards my head to detect my head moves? The height would be about 1 metre above my head. Is this going to affect its performance or is it a no go?

What alternatives can you propose if the above solution is not technically feasible?

I would also say that you are more than 6 feet away from the camera?

You can also mount the Camera to the left, right, or behind you. You would then just need to adjust the software to reflect the new position
