FS9 hotkey setup

Post by trinidad »

I am a new and happy user of Track IR with FS9. I wish to create two hotkeys on my yoke buttons to freeze and center TIR, unfortunately, each time I make an attempt to select F12 or F9 as the hotkeys on FSUIPC, these two commands cannot be used because they seem to be totally isolated by TIR.

Is there a trick to force this selection so that I can use my yoke buttons rather than my keyboard, that would be a lot more practical keeping my hands on the yoke for these two functions?

The only thing I did not try yet and think about as I write these lines would be to not start TIR before I open FS9, make that selection in FSUIPC and restart FS9 with TIR this time, is it the trick?

Thank you for your assistance.

Actually, you could just open the TRackIR software, select the flight profile (default for FS9), and change the hotkey options within the profile used for the game.

Thanks Vincent, this much I knew...

Let me rephrase my question. Assuming I keep the keys as they are allocated (whichever they actually are this does not matter and the results are the same for ANY selection), when I open FSUIPC in FS9 to allocate those keys (whichever they may be) to 3 buttons on my yoke, I cannot select those keys when I press them in FSUIPC, as I do for all my other FS9 commands, the selected commands (whichever they may be) will simply not be working for me to select them. It looks as if TIR makes those hotkeys inaccessible to FSUIPC anymore.

Thank you.

Thew TrackIR software, does trap the keys, so they can't be used by other applications. You can turn that off within the profiles as well.
