I tried this with the vector cap version and it was a lot smoother than the pro clip.
When using the head tester and gauges and turning my head to the right yaw at half the distance I should be able to turn the device is clipping and making the head movement erratic. Compared to the left yaw movement which is full range.
And given there is no "calibrate range" in the editor I don't see a way to fix this.
I have also noticed in games with the proclip vs the vector jumping and far less fluid / smooth movement even with settings adjusted to smooth things out.
I have a large window behind me I used the light filter to remove from the sensors vision. I have also tried to adjust the dot size to get this work better in the same window (tracking).
It seems with the pro clip the fps for the sample rate of the tracker decreases or some times takes up to 3 seconds to report a new position.
I am running a x64 xp machine with 8 cores, 8800 gtx oc 768, 4gb ram, fatal1ty pro gamer. The device is plugged into a port on the front of my computer which is usb 2.0 compatible. I have not tried to hook the device directly to a port in the rear which would be on the mobo its self. I dont see how that would change anything given the front ports are connected to the mobo. And I have not tried a external hub with its own power supply.
not smooth, and calibration issues
Re: not smooth, and calibration issues
When looking at the tracking screen, what do you see?
You have selected trackclip pro in all of the gaming profiles?
Moved the TrackIR to the left side of the monitor, with the clip on the left side of your headset, and the longer part of the clip towards the bottom?

Re: not smooth, and calibration issues
I see the three dots in the proper configuration as illustrated on the instructions.
Yes the trackclip pro was selected, and I did select the vector for testing it to compare.
And yes the trackir is setup on the right side, the dots in the center with the proper configuration as illustrated in the book.
UPDATE:
Its night time now, all the lights are out except for my monitor and the trackir with the proclip is a hell of a lot smoother and responds properly.
However I did have one instance where the trackir program crashed when trying to edit the arma profile to include more axises since it supports them.
So the problem is the window and the use of the light filter as I turned the light filter OFF and the dots got bigger on the tracking window.

Re: not smooth, and calibration issues
Strsy IR can be an issue, and need to be eliminated at all cost.
