No Blue -- No Response -- FSX/Accel Vista
No Blue -- No Response -- FSX/Accel Vista
Greetings,
I'm new to Track IR. I've been absolutely loving it in flight sims, and now I can't understand how I could ever fly without it.
Unfortunately, I can't get it to work with FSX, at all. I've had no problems at all in Lock On, or IL-2. It worked right off the bat, wonderfully.
In FSX, however, I can't get any response at all. It will not show that FSX is running in the "main" tab of Track IR. It will not "blue light" on the tracker. I've adjusted the key settings in track-ir, assured that it's on vector, used forced profiles and game loaded profiles, and I'm using the latest track-ir software. I run all programs in admin. There is no aftermarket firewall or a-v installed, and the vista firewall is disabled. I installed FSX twice now, hoping that a re-install would cure it. No response, no blue, either time.
------------
Track IR loaded up first.
FSX plus the Acceleration Addon, no service packs installed as MS states that they are pre-installed with Acceleration.
No other mods are running. FSX appears to be running just fine.
Vista 64 bit Ultimate with the latest patches and SP1.
Dual core AMD 6000+ with 4 gigs of RAM.
ATI 3870x2 with the second to the latest driver, as the newest causes conflicts with some programs (reported but not tested personally).
X-fi music card.
CH flight setup with fighterstick, pro throttle, pro pedals. Tried in mapped and non-mapped modes, with different profiles.
Please help, as I'd really like to be able to enjoy FSX with track-ir.

Running both the TrackIR software and FSX as an admin, or running both not as an admin?
What version of the TrackIR software are you using?

Re: No Blue -- No Response -- FSX/Accel Vista
I have the same problem!
I also try to use TrackIR Pro with FSX on Windows XP. All latest fixes are installed.
TrackIR version is 4.1.35.
Using TrackIR's views all seems ok.
If I start FSX I still get Current game: none, Current profile: Flight.

Re: No Blue -- No Response -- FSX/Accel Vista
It works with version 4.1.34!
So something is broken between build 34 and 35.

Re: No Blue -- No Response -- FSX/Accel Vista
There is no difference between build 34, and build 35, in regards to how FSX is supported.
Did you try the clean install?
Do you have SP2 installed for FSX?

Fantastic! A re-install of the Track IR software fixed it. I was already using the latest version, so I thought I ruled that out as an issue, but it worked right away after.
Thank you very much for your assistance.

Re: No Blue -- No Response -- FSX/Accel Vista
It works fine with build 35 downloaded from your site. But build 35 that is on the CD doesn't work.

Re: No Blue -- No Response -- FSX/Accel Vista
Same version - no difference at all. Are you running one install differently than the other?
Re: No Blue -- No Response -- FSX/Accel Vista
No, the same install for both.
I have repeated this on two machines. One with XP and FSX and one with Vista/32 and FSX. The same result on both machines, CD version does not work, downloaded version ok.
