I would like to submit an idea I had playing IL2-FB.
first of all the track IR works great in the game...
unfortunatelly i suffer a huge headshake after playing the game with the track IR. My suggestion is to use the Trak IR as a compatible POV moving the virtual head by discrete position: say every step by 45� in both directions.
To do so, I think it is necessary for the software to recognize the position of the pointer to be within a particular area and assign a "key"of the keyboard.
For example: if I move my head left a "left arrow" is emulated ....and so on. Would be interesting provide the capability to generate a macro.
for example: if I move my head left a "left harrow" is emulated with a 30 ms of delay and again the same key is emulated with the same delay until I put my head out of the sensitive area.
what do you think?
this Would increase the number of games that do not support the mouse panning but only a movement by keyboard button.

Ah, keyboard emulation a.k.a keymapping. This would be a great feature for all those games that don't have a mouse or enhanced mode support (Falcon, X-Plane, Red Baron 3D, and WWIIOL just to name a few). Naturalpoint in the 1.XX version of GX had a well designed but not well implemented version of keymapping. Instead of fixing keymappings bugs, Naturalpoint decided to get rid of it. Kx2us was going to make a version of of keymapping for Falcon but instead made the enhanced mode support. I'm trying to get him to work on key emulation again but don't hold your breath.
It's surprising that you want this for IL-2:FB (and I guess Falcon since you linked this thread there). What kind of head shakes are you talking about, in game view your your head physically shaking? IL-2:FB's enhanced mode support is excellent! Keymapping wouldn't do as good of a job. Keymapping if done right can do a great job though. Before TrackIR I used a program called "Use Your Head" webcam head tracking software. It's tracking wasn't nearly as good as TrackIR and it had a big frame rate hit, but it's keymapping was well done and worked very well when the rest of the software worked.

actualy I would like to turn my head and see the image on the screen stable, This is impossible with the actual enanched mode.
I mean, turning your head and continuously wach the monitor is very difficult... would be easy if you move your head and turn to see in front of your monitor... giving little turn-steps to set your views.
this is only possible assigning a key, that is providing the software of this feature.

In practice, most users that we talk to find this to be disconcerting. Have you tried playing with the smoothness settings or creating a fairly aggressive dead zone?

hi, I tried almost every combinations:
if i reduce the aggresive response I view the monitor with my eyes completely to the edge because my head is rotated too much; if I increase the aggressive response I can't focus on target on my rear view because the view is too sesitive to position of my head...
i really can't play in this situation... unfortunatelly...
after 5 minutes I need to relax because my eyes hurt.
Please provide this feature. I think there are a lot of player that suffer this kind of issue.

Lean your body when you want to look all the way back. An inch or two lean is all it takes. No need to run your eyballs to the stops.
