Power, Sleep, Wake buttons.

Post by Charlie251 »

Curious to see if you could make it so that the POWER, SLEEP, and WAKE buttons can be used as hotkeys and becomg "TRAPPED" when you do so.

I tried to assign one to the power key as a test and subsequently shut my computer off.

This would be great as no other game or program uses these except windows!

The only problem will be if the HOTAS can map these buttons as well.

I am not sure if they can. I can do another test when I am ready to turn my computer off.

But that may be the biggest issue with having this accomplished. We will see....

I have the media keys on my keyboard mapped to the TrackIR functions - they show up as numerical codes in the software.

The play/pause key is a natural start/stop, the square stop button is defined as centre, and the forward and reverse keys toggle the two special modes.

Works fine and doesn't interfere with any game commands since these would never be used.
