Odd problem with latest software

I have the TrackIR system on WinXP 64 bit fully patched. The software was working fine until the latest update. Now when I look slightly left the TrackIR head track, or actual track goes crazy and it looks like my neck breaks on both of the views in the head track. I have uninstalled and reinstalled many times, fiddled with the inverting, made sure that the USB power was set to always on and no luck.

Help! The Track IR doesn't work at all now, I can look right, but looking left is not stable. I've made sure that there are no background lights and also turned the LED lights off/on, nothing makes a difference.

Win64 XP pro, fully patched.

I just got my TrackClip Pro in the mail today. Mine does this too.. Works fine with the hat clip, but clip it goes crazy.. something seriously wrong

Have you gone into the different Profiles (default, flight, racing, etc.) and selected TrackClip Pro, when using the TrackClip Pro, instead of vector?

There are a lot of people seeing this problem with the Pro. You can pan right but not left. If you deselect everything in the set up for profiles and only have YAW selected, you can look right and it works fine, but looking left creates the "head" and the "in game" to go spastic. The "head" in mine snaps back which causes the "in game" to neck break and invert, where the in game head actually leaves the screen. I modified the YAW profile yesterday and it took me almost 30 minutes to get it where it won't do that. The values I had to make to correct the problem and use in flight sim are as follows, I also modified pitch once I got YAW working almost correctly:

Mirrored values on both. On the set up screen it is still kind of "flaky" but works in the game OK. The problem manifests itself as turn right everything is OK, turn left and it goes out to lunch. I did notice that left with the default profile the head turns right, when coming back to center it's OK but when it should start to turn to the right it actually starts to turn back to the left again.....so it never goes to the right, left center left, no right. Hope this helps debug for you.

Hi everyone.

I received my TrackIR a few weeks ago and had the same problem with the left head motion going wacky.

I un-installed version 4.1.036 and used ealier versions with basically the same problem, i.e. no change.

I seem to have solved my spastic left turn tracking quite by accident. I happened to click on the Settings button with the Tracking window open and noticed that the setting for Light Filtering was enabled and by default was much higher than in previous versions. I reduced the setting to 125, clicked OK and lo and behold, everything was smooth!

Hope the fix is as simple as this for the rest of you.

What version of Windows are you using?

What version of the trackIR software?

Using the metal clip (TrackClip), or the TrackClip Pro?
