3D tracking

Hi all
I have a TrackerIR mrk1 and love the thing! Have been playing about and happened to notice on the Tracking tab, Camera View window, the yellow dot grows in size as you move closer to it with your head. Like wise it gets smaller when you move away. Logic would say that this could be tracked and give a further axis, or at least a possible key assignment could utilise it Have done a search on postings and could not find this mentioned before. This would be a fantastic feature. Imagine moving your head forward and the cockpit moves with you
Please tell me this could work!
