Original Falcon 4.0

Post by kenguan »

Can't seem to get TrackIR to work in the original Falcon 4.0 (with 1.03US patch).

Is it not possible for it to work (even though TrackIR supports "All" versions of Falcon 4.0)

From the forum & TrackIR website it mentions about installing BMS or Cobra etc etc. Is this required?

You will need to have at least the superpatch installed, to receive TrackIR support in Falcon 4

Superpatch = BMS + SP4 + + +

I was hoping to run the original Falcon 4.0 with the official patch only...

That's just not possible I'm afraid. The earliest mods which allowed trackir (by utilizing the shared memory interface if I remember correctly) were SP3.

Managed to get TrackIR to work with the original Falcon 4.0 :

- Run the TrackIR mouse emulator,
- assign one joystick button to emulate mouse "right click"
- in the cockpit, go to virtual view (3 key) and then "right click" the mouse and mouse your head around, it works.

However, the accuracy is not at all good. Any idea if there is any way to "calibrate" the mouse emulator of TrackIR?
